• Dissemination of information about MD
• To provide assistance to families who cannot afford necessary investigation for making a clear diagnosis
• To raise awareness about the disease and to help access at schools, place of employment, residence and public area for wheel chair bound children
• Promote research and development for these, “Orphan” diseases
• Psychological support to patients and parents, through counselling
• To advise the family on the role of physiotherapy and provision of the same
• To advise and assist the families to obtain appropriate tax concession, which is provided by the Government of India
• To collaborate with other NGO’s in order to raise awareness about the needs of the children with disabilities
• To co-ordinate in organizing meetings and conference for parents and professionals who deal with these children
